Hi there,

My problem is that im not able to add users to the linux 2.4.20 and i dont know why and from the running windows NT.. I also want them to join the domain.... anybody knows how?

You have to first tell that what linux distribution you are running.

And for second problem, search a tutorial on internet for "Samba as PDC ie primary domain controller" .

Samba is just a application used in LINUX which support window's networking protocol, so basically we use samba  in mixed networking environment with MS windows.

Which linux distro you are using ? like Mandriva or Slackware or Redhat or Fedora..

Thanks for the reply.... well, the thing is that the company that i work for
they had this admin guy who setup all this stuff and left .. dont know where... but im just trying to find out stuff.. now how can i know what type of linux we are using... and i use putty to do my stuff... can i just use a command and what command can i use to know.
