hi all,
me new in linux and want to install real playre using the following command

yum install path of the software

but unable to install.what cab be the issue?

just seen this problem ,a bit late if i was you use the vlc player that virtualy plays 99%

1.first u configured the yum server or not if yum server is not configured u can install through rpm command
2.copy the realplayer rpm to some location (/ or /root)any location
3.rpm -ivh  <give the path to that location>

hi,

u can install directely through rpm, but it won't help u to play mp4 format. for this u need to install vlc player.
