Title: System gets hanged when i enter into /home directory [FC3]

Am using FC3
80GB hard disk
512MB RAM
My system is getting hanged whenever i get into /home directory
i cannot even install any software which uses /home directory
it gets hanged while installing due to the above problem
plz let me know the solution quickly

You need to check your hard drive integrity.

Run fsck to check that partition..
