Title: failed while creating cache_dir !

Hi,

I'm using SuSE 10.2 and trying to run Proxy server with squid.

Unfortunately, I found this error when trying to start squid service.

SUSEsrv:~ # /sbin/service squid start
Starting WWW-proxy squid  (/cache) - failed while creating cache_dir !                                                                      failed

Kindly advise asap.

It is OK now by remove and install Squid again.

I am glad its solved.
BTw, it ws just simple problem of permission.
