Title: Desktop icons not appearing

im a noob at linux so i mostly dload rpm packages. i configured firefox to place all dloads in the desktop, but when the dload's done nothing appears in the desktop. however, the dloads are listed when doing an ls in the terminal. what gives?

Hi frndz
 First welcome to the world of linux
 just open the folder that showing home image by clicking on it you will get the content viewed in konqueror
 To set it in desktp to view it just open firfox go to edit-> preferences-> download : and change the path

thanks deven. did that and also the ctrl-r combo and it worked fine. :D
