Well as far as I can explain I will.
I have installed redhat completely; I made the partition and all that stuff, so I am that far in the installation.
When the {localhost: }
prompt comes up I don't have a name and it asked for a password, but the password won't allow me to type anything..
should I reinstall??

well.. in Linux we mostly have on default user (administrative) with the name "root"
So if you are being asked for username and password on command line then you have to put "root" as username and then type password which you must have specified during installation.

BTW. when on command line in linux while typing the password, it will show nothing but password is actually being typed.
Title: Thanks a lot.
