Post by: ronaldjayr_jover on December 15, 2005, 08:13:14 AM
Hi everyone,

I have configured my ftp(vsftpd), under is the response on my linux box to my ftp server :

[root@KABAN root]# ftp 192.168.10.32
Connected to 192.168.10.32 (192.168.10.32).
220 Welcome to TESTING FTP service.
Name (192.168.10.32:root): ftp1bmnl
331 Please specify the password.
Password:
230 Login successful. Have fun.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp> ls
227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,10,32,53,131)
150 Here comes the directory listing.
226 Directory send OK.

But when i use Internet explorer(IE6), and type ftp://192.168.10.32 , it aunthenticates me but it hangs when i enter my password.

I just want my technical person on the otherside of the earth to download their designated files.

What Am I lacking here, anyone of you guys have an opinion.

Thank you and good day  :D  :D  :D

Ask that person to set his browser to change setting for ftp as passive or vice versa.
