Title: Strange Messages During Boot
Post by: rajesh.bahl on August 17, 2007, 08:21:44 PM

Hi!

I am facing a very strange problem -- Till a few days back my server ( Cent OS 4.4) was working okay .
It was upgraded to CentOS 4.5 through yum. After that when ever some one tries to log into the server, following messages appear ( although user gets logged in and is able to work on the server):

Keymap 0 : Permission denied
Keymap 1 : Permission denied
Keymap 2: Permission denied
KDSKBENT: Operation not permitted
loadkeys:could not deallocate keymap 3

Can any one explain why these messages appear ? What has gone wrong with the system ?

thanks in advance

I found on another forum that you need to update KBD

Code: [Select]
# yum update kbd
