2.4.18 to 2.4.20 upgrd usin patch-kernel in scripts folder

Can anyone tell the steps(commands) to use the patch-kernel option in scripts folder to upgrade to 2.4.20 from a 2.4.18 after i have finished unzipping 2.4.20 kernel?
