Linux doesn't really use letters the windoze does.  I'll explain.

Primary Master = /dev/hda
Primary Slave = /dev/hdb
Secondary Master = /dev/hdc
Secondary Slave = /dev/hdd

That is for the drives themselves.  Now for partitions.

Prmary Master first primary partition = /dev/hda1
Prmary Master first logical partition = /dev/hda5
Prmary Master second logical partition = /dev/hda6

Note the first 4 are reserved for primary partitions.  The ones that are 5 and up are logical.  Linux will install on all logical partitions.

There should be a tab to select the other drives.  There is in Mandrake and I think Redhat uses the same tool.  It should be labeled hda and hdb, depending on how they are connected.

As for the LBA error, you may want to check the settings in your BIOS.  You may need to enable Large Block Addressing for that drive.  It should be in the section that lists the drives that are connected.  Mine is all the way to the right in the listing.  Yours may vary.

I hope this bit of info will help a little anyway.  Post if you need more help.

For LBA error don't worry because now both lilo and Grub support LBA and I think you are using GRUB as boot loader. So don't worry at all.

for partition magic:: It is very common that it don't work properly on the partition created by most of the software. Also if you are older version of partion magic then it is possible that it is not having full support for linux files system.
Even i have seen partition magic 7.0 is yet not fully supported for linux file system.

For this problem please give the output of following command..
Code:
df

Is that creating a problem for U? it is alright but if u have problem as here. but it should be related to linux in one or another way.
