Hi
I have installed Linux Red Hat 9. I have met problems with Sound Card Detection. I have Integrated Audio. Motherboard ASUS A7V8X-X with itegrated sound card ADI 1980 6 chanel codec S/PDIF out interface ADI AD1980 AC'97 audio codec. Linux during installation have applide AC'97, but Sound Card Detection doesm't work , I cannot play any music. Please help me (Linux beginner)?
How can I resolve this problem Where can I get the right driver. And How can I install it. What options should I set to resolve this problem.

I will be very greateful.

First off, on a root terminal , type
# sndconfig

That should write a new sound configuration file if ur card is supported at all...

I have tried this command # sndconfig but no effect;
