Title: Unable to dual-boot in to Ubuntu
Post by: maximealexandre on October 13, 2020, 03:58:02 AM
Hello guys, I have a Huawei MateBook 13 that comes with Windows home edition. Today for the second time I tried to install Ubuntu (dual-boot) in to it and so I made my Kingston USB drive bootable with Etcher (https://etcher.download/) following their tutorial and installed Ubuntu successfully. I allocated a brand new partition for Ubuntu. But the issue is I am unable to actually dual boot it. It doesn't allow me to switch between operating systems and it just boots straightaway to my old Windows operating system. After the first installation, I thought I did something wrong so I re formatted the drive and installed the system again but it didn't fix the issue. I even asked from Stack Overflow and they suggested to adjust some BIOS settings but still the issue remains. Any advice you could give would be much appreciated.
