Title: is there any access rights failure logging?
Post by: mvas on October 24, 2011, 08:05:49 AM
Hi guys,

Is there any logging mechanism to record users that are trying to access folders/files to which they don't have access priviledges?
If yes could you please point me to that direction?

The reason I'm asking (except the fact I don't know much about linux) is that I have a web app that tries to access a third party app that lives on the same box and it seems like it gets some access rights issues... I'm not sure which user/group the web app is using to do so, but I do know the folders/files that need to be accessed.

Any help will be most welcome...

thanks,

Mike
