I want to install pidgin on redhat linux manually.
i've downloaded pidgin-2.5.8 source package. extract them manually.
The instructions says to extract..then ./configure and 'make' then
 'make install'.

working.no such file called make. i've tried 'gmake'.no luck.

there is install-sh, and many more files. i'm not yet success to
install manually any packages..without fedora by yum.repos and livna.

please tell me details.to install these tar.gz extracting packages.

My Machine Details.
