Post by: Avin on August 21, 2009, 07:55:18 AM
 hi, everybody
I want to install pidgin on redhat linux manually.
i've downloaded pidgin-2.5.8 source package. extract them manually.
The instructions says to extract..then ./configure and 'make' then
 'make install'.
but.. after ./configure configures and the 'make' command is not such file called make. i've tried 'gmake'.no luck.

there is install-sh, and many more files. i'm not yet success to
install manually any packages..without fedora by yum.repos and livna.

please tell me install these tar.gz extracting packages.

My Machine Details.
Linux  RHEL- 4  2.6.9-34.ELsmp EST 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

 please help.
