Title: cutting_edge_distro
Post by: saravanaspeed on June 27, 2009, 10:41:08 AM
I am a regular user of ubuntu. I have no internet connectivity so i liked dvd distros but fedora package manager did not install packages from dvd post installation. I tried debian and satisfied with installing from dvd but packages were old
To have cutting edge software should i choose debian squeeze or ubuntu alpha or fedora alpha
which is bleeding edge
which is stable

Before going for a cutting edge distro you should decide what you need - Latest softwares or Stable Softwares. Also remember you cannot get both stability & latest technology together. You need to choose between the two.

If you decide on Stable - Debian
For cutting edge - Fedora
