There is a option stating .. Video stream or not.. simply look for that..

Hey my VLC shows picture but spills too much light on the screen. The movie is extra white..

there is option to adjust brightness and contrast for screen somewhere.. sorry I do not remember exactly where !

hey i couldn't compile vlc, i got mant error anybody please could find me a rpm link or compiling guides

rpm means pre-compiled  binary.
Anyways.. you try to sorting out, I think you are making some small mistake !
