Which is the best Email Client under GNU/Linux?

(1/2) > >>

I am on the verge of making a big leap towards regular use of GNU/Linux. For that to happen, I need to settle down on a good email client. I require some opinions from expereinced users.

Under Windows, I have been using Outlook Express 6. I have many email accounts spreaded across multiple identities. If possible, I would like to continue enjoying this facility. Please keep this in mind when expressing your opinion. Please help me decide which is the best email client under this great OS. Not only cast your vote, but also give reasons. Thanks.

Well I have used all you specified and found Kmail easiest to use but xiamin evaluation better than other in terms of productivity !!

Xiamin can be daunting first time but is good ..

On the other hand mozilla mail is a basic mail client.. but can be used in startup !!

:) My vote for xiamin evaluation .

Thanks Ricky!! I don't get over-awed by big/complicated software too easily ;) I have just started with Evolution, but thought will seek some opinions before I make a final switch.

i used both kmail and evolution, kmail really sucked my time, but evolution is really handy!!

I used Evolution prior to updating to KDE3.2 which now has a great interface for kmail into kontact. Kontact uses mail, calendar, addressbook etc. However, I like to mozilla Thunderbird, which allows using same app regardless using Windows or Linux..
