Zyxel G360 WiFi card and Ubuntu 8.10

I have followed the Ubuntu instructions for loading the Windows driver for the Zyxel G306 WiFi card. I get tnet 1130 "Invalid Driver" when I select the appropriate .inf file. Has anyone successfully used this PCI card? What further steps can I take.
For information, I am using Ubuntu 8.10 with the kernel 2.6.27-9-generic i686. The windows driver was version 1.0.0.10. The card uses the TI ACX111 chipset. The hardware is recognised but "unclaimed" (sorry but can't recall which terminal instr. gave this). lspci -nn gave:
01:09.0 Network Controller[0280]: Texas Instrumenst ACX111 54Mbps Wireless Interface [104c:9066
I also noticed among responses that I had a line:
[17.535687] ndiswrapper(load wrapdriver:108) couldn't load driver tnet1130 check system log for messages from @load ndisdriver'
Any help would be appreciated as the Green in me is reloctant to bin a serviceable piece of hardware.
