Can you provide me steps to configure DNS in RHEL5 on my mail ID as I have never done that

What do you really want to do ? Make machine as DNS server for a particular website or simply caching nameserver ?

Working with DNS required some basic understanding of how things works so I think you should start with a tutorial, go through following link and don't get demotivated if in beginning things are not quite clear, just finish it and you know it!
