Mandrake 9.2 and no sound on NVIDIA chipset

(1/1)

dalek:
I had this problem with mine and have about sorted it out.  You need to download the driver from the NVIDIA website and install it.  Reboot so it will load properly.  Then change it to one of these drivers:  i810_audio or nvaudio.  The sound is a bit choppy though.  Trying to work that out.  At least I have some sound though.

Anybody have ideas on this one?  I'll just keep plugging away here.

I really fixed it a little bit ago.  I went bacl to Mandrake 9.1.  That fixed it real good.

Yep.  The sound works fine in Mandrake 9.1.  No problems at all.  Don't know what the problem was with 9.2.
