Hmm... I don't think that RH8 has any problem with MP3 ..

Can you disclose what exactly you find as problem when you try to play MP3 from xmms ?

Xmms is like winamp in M$ windows.. that is so simple to use..

You may need to mount cd before using its file..
do it by
Code: [Select]
mount /mnt/cdrom

man i tried this too and i got this:

mount: /dev/cdrom already mounted or /mnt/cdrom busy
mount: according to mtab, /dev/cdrom is already mounted on /mnt/cdrom
[/code]

i am really confused. i mean i can play two songs only. rest are not even enqueued in playlist :( . thats the actual problem.
