Title: Need help with squid and netstat > please help me

i install redhat 9 workstation with default settings and do as this guide step by step exact what given here


http://users.bigpond.net.au/adam88/squid.htm
and gett this errors
1085931639.130 239471 127.0.0.1 TCP_MISS/504 1078 GET http://www.netscape.com/ - NONE/- -
[root@tomamodi root]# netstat -an | grep 8080
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:8080            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN
[root@tomamodi root]#
Stopping squid: squid: ERROR: No running copy
done
hope some one help me if there is any error in the said guide

1: your first link does not work.  May want to edit.

2: I moved to General networking.  You may get a better response.

3: Change topic a bit.  

If you need me to move back or something just post.

Hope someone familiar with squid will come along.

First of all. that link is not working, secondly if your squid is installed by default then just edit its squid.conf and then start squid.. or simply follow our Squid Proxy configuration (http://www.linuxsolved.com/forums/ftopic116.html) and I hope you will be fine..
BTw. your squid is not running..
