Title: How to install Adobe reader 9.4 update using BASH in Ubuntu 10.10
Post by: hfactor on January 06, 2011, 03:11:32 AM
I am able to use some BASH commands in the terminal, but usually only with help. My Firefox update manager said that there was an important security update to the Adobe reader 9.4 . When pushing the "download now" button, I got this file:

AdbeRdr9.4-1_i486linux_enu.bin

dropped on my desktop. I tried using the Synaptic manager, but Synaptic thinks I'm up to date. I don't know how to install this update!

Thanks in advance for any help!
