Title: connecting my linux box to, work on my windows network

pls can you tell mw how my linux box would work windows network running win2k server with a dns server.pls tell me in details what to do because i cant even browse the network. even if u refer me to wrte up i would not mind.
i use mandrake linux 9.2

You have made the post in wrong forum.. It should be in General Networking support section. OK

Now about your query..

Firstly..
If you want to browse the windoz network then simply Install Linneighborhood . It is a gui used for SAMBA .
Samba is a network tool used to connect linux machine to windows machine because it uses windows networking scheme. All you have to do google for its download..

BTW.. it will better if you read some samba docs first to understand that what is samba..
