(Absolute Newbie needs help)

I just installed Suse 9. and my present hardware conextant  PCI modem will not install and I cannot find a linux driver for it.
Can anyone advise me if this (before I purchase it) external serial modem will work in a linux enviroment?  Model 00568603  USR Sportster 0701.
Any advice greatfully accepted.

as far as my knowledge is concerned.. any serial modem will work in linux.
