First of all. u should ask diff. question in their appropriate location .
First. installing hte linux..
What problem actually u are facing. ?
To install linux u just need to define linux root partition and it will do all rest by default.. but for your info..
u can create 3 partition.. a 500 mb for swap, a /home partition as per ur requirement and a main parition "/" around 6-7 GB.
please ask internt related quesiotn in networkin section.
