I AM TRYING TO INSTALL LINUX 9.0 RED HAT ON .BUT HDD COULD NOT DETECT .
MY CONFIG IS
CEL 2.26
40GB SATA SAMSUNG
128MB
INTEL 865 GV MB
ERROR NO HDD FOUND?

Redhat 9.0 will not support SATA harddisk drive

I posted one question about SATA hdd not detected by REDHAT 9.0.any posibility to solve this problem or else shall i try linux red hat 10.0.I red u r linuxmafia.com/faq/Hardware/sata.html link,but i am not a advance user.So i can not understand link details.As i know ur a experience linux expert.pls solve my problem.

Ya I have sucessfully installed SATA only on one system ,,but that was HCL systems...
There i have changed my BIOS settings but its not possible in all Chipsets...

Simple and straight way is .. try newest linux distro .. they are not coming with SATA support.
