Title: redhat 8.0 boot problem

hi,i'm using redhat 8.0....but its turn stuck while booting..that pc r  running system.n included important data that i never want to loss it.
its show segmentation fault at /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit....can i just repir it without loss any data using linux rescue?can someone give me a solution for this problem?

hello

start ur system in rescue mode and repair ur faulty file system.
just see the system message which is causing seg. error .

in rescue mode:
#fsck /dev/hda1

or see ur mount point which is causing error.  
don't use this command while in X server mode.
