Hello
1) I have gone through the forum discussions and successfully
installed GMPLAYER .
I am able to play mp3,rm and dat files
but when i play .dat files fullscreen is not coming eventhough i have
selected fulllscreen.
Is it a limitation? Also I am not able adjust sound volume
as i normally do in wmp/winamp/realplayer.
2) I tried to install realplayer gold in redhat linux 9.0
I got floating value error.
Which version of realplayer is suitable to my o.s R.H 9.0
I have ALSA sound driver in my pc.
Please guide me

Try to use Real Player 10.

for mplayer there is no problem about full screen !!
btw .dat files are usually files in vcd !! so r u saying that while playing vcd you get problem of not getting fullscreen !
anyway mplayer or gmplayer have lots of good keyboard shortcuts.. for fullscreen use "F" , for volume up and down use "/" and "*" from Numeric keypad !!

ya full screen will not coome in mplayer if you donot have the graphics drivers (Hardware acceleration).....
