Title: ftp problem

Dear friend
I am able to do ftp to all my user except root
how can i do ftp to my root at localhost
e.g. $ftp loclhost
machine ask me login name & password
when i put root & root password it gives permission denied
So how can i do that
Actually there is one setting in file i forget that file If anybudy knows kindly send it

You have not mentioned your OS, btw for ftp login in fedora you can  edit the files /etc/vsftpd.ftpusers and /etc/vsftpd.user_list  and remove the 'root' line from each file.

You can also use  sftp instead of ftp..
