my computer doesn't work with automatic shut down ...so i should do it with manual by click the shutdown button actually i used full ATX case ...but i read at forum we can handle and manage APM and ACPI ....but i don't know where in my system (fedora) plz...tell me more tips step by step.... :?: :x

Try running 'modprobe apm' or modprobe acpi'. If those don't work, then you will have to recompile your kernel to enable it.

i don't know about fedora, but in redhat n suse, either of apm or acpi wud have configured for sure, while your configuring your kernel. if not, you have to re-configure and re-compile your kernel, by the way, may i know which kernel you are using?
