Title: how to config squid of smoothwall

Hello

here i m new!! just i introduce my self to the linux system here i used smoothwall and i dont know how to config smoothwall means that squid service which running in the smoothwall as Ricky posted the message that how to install squid that i saw?eventhough the internet is running smoothly but i have no rights to restrict it.

but there is one problem that if i want to restrict users how can i do that!!!!!

and where i can write acl to restrict the access to user means at bootom or top or in between in command promt

please give full configuration step by step if possible

Smoothwall is so easy that anyone with basic knowledge of networking can have router, caching server and firewall running in no time.

So you are using squid via smooth wall .. It is so easy.. Whatever I say is mostly to edit squid.conf file. And in smoothwall you have to edit  at /var/smoothwall/proxy/acl then restart the proxy via the webmin to rewrite the updated squid.conf.
