how to make a squid proxy? and how to configure it?
-
for your second question u can go through the proxy support section of this forum u can get a number of tutorial on squid.
and for the ristriction i am still not able to understand your need .
if u want that a perticular client should get a perticular address than it may be applied by dns as well as switches through which the connection is made based on the mac address of the interface.

Lito, your question is really unclear. You should clear as if you are talking about allowing access to only certain clietns or you want to allot only specified IPs to the client etc.
BTW, about squid see-->

Hey I think that you are asking that all clients on ur Network gets ip-range preallocated ..means no client gets the ip-address other than the ip-pool you set?
