Title: Authentication for visiting site in apache

Hai all

I have apache web server installed and hosted a website. I want users to use username and password to access the site.

Can anyone help me out

sorry, rickty u didn't understand my question. I have my own webserver installed - apache. it has a corporate site hosted on it. I want to restrict the users accessing that particular site using password and username.
This is question is not realled to squid.

Oh. really sorry,
We have many questions over here about squid, I answered just after seeing the question title. Anyways You can do that easily, it can be done using .htaccess file or can also edit apache config file, but I want you to do it .htaccess way :)
