I need to restrict the internet access to an ip range, but that range will only have access to one specific site. I have a standard squid proxy server with dansguardian. It is possible to do this? If i put the range into the bannediplist, obviously it blocks me the whole access to internet. I really appreciate if you can help me in this matter.
Thanks

hmm.. squid is very effective internet filtering software also. I suggest you to dig few other post related to this in the forum and I am sure you will find your answer.
PS: you can do all such filtering even without using Dansgaurdian :)

yeah, i squid is effective... that too natively...
Hey Ricky, i added an ACL in squid.conf to look into a file "block.site" for a list of blocked sites ... but the problem is that i dont have a complete list of porn/objectionable sites that should be blocked for network users... is there any other workaround? I haven't gone through squid configuration yet...

yaa there is list of porn sites to blocked available on internet .. just use google.com/linux

Wwwhattttt? see i am serious..... what result would google.com/linux would give ?

That's mean i have to take out dansguardian. I thought it, but really don't want at all. I will work on it. So, i must to convince my boss there's no another solution.
By the way, thanks for your help!

I did the content filtering through squid with a complete acl. I do restrict browsing to an ip range successfully. The problem began when squid try to load the porn sites list stored in a file of 8mb. It seems like squid can't handle such large files and it gets too slow trying to load the file and finally it can't be loaded. Is there any problem in such files?? What kind of files should i use??? Can squid handle large files???
Thanks
