I program for win32 using VC++ , including API functions MFC, ATL, DCOM,COM+ libraries.
My questions are:
What kind of levels are for Linux\Unix programming?
What is low level?(e.g. for Win32 API functions).
Do Linux\Unix platforms have API functions
What is POSIX? Can GUI be programed with POSIX
What kind of GUI be programed with POSIX 12?
What are system functions for Linux\Unix programming?What can be programmed with them???
What means X- Window GNOME KDE for Linux\Unix programming?
What kind of programming can be done with GTK, GTK+, Qt..? What library is most popular and effective?
What equivalents of win32 api functions and MFC and ATL are for Linux \Unix platforms??????????????????????????
What equivalents of DCOM and COM+ are for Linux \Unix platforms??????????????????????????
Is CORBA more popular than COM+ for Linux \Unix platforms?

hey the way you put loads of queries it looks like you rn't a professional. if you are a professional techie, am sorry to say, you must know how to behave in the groups. first let you get a linux book and start reading, don't try to learn everything in just one hour or so!! and please never waste others time by putting these kind of queries!!

what do you mean ? how can an operating system be built without having API functions ? ever heard about .so files ???

There's no point in explaining you what is POSIX... Please do your homework before asking like this ... you can always do a google and know what is POSIX... you just seem to make us do your work .... isn't it ?

Why do want to have an equivalent of Win32 and MFC ?? Can't you live with the native libraries and capabilities of Linux ??? If not... then please stick with VC++ and windows...

Why on earth do you want to have equivs of every Proprietary technology of MS ?

Gosh, get a good book on that... i've got some eBooks with me... maybe you'll be interested in that...

Linux programming is not just all about C++... there's a whole array of languages to pick up from... if you're trying to build GUI apps then also you can build it using wrapper classes present in that language...
PS: I'm sorry if my language sounds aggressive... I just talk that way...

I'm not sure about its legality but .... what the heck ?

But my mail service cant upload it!!!
Two of the eBooks are 12 MB or something...and the Bible is something like a tarball or 45MB... no service i know would allow me to upload such huge attachments....
suggest me something....

My suggestion is to devide this package in small pieces with rar or zip or other like program. And make it self-ecstracting.

The account won't be going anywhere any time soon :wink: I use it for a number of different things. Script testing (although, as of lately I've just been using my own apache server for that), file hosting, design experimentation, etc. I've recently installed Genesis so I could offer small amounts of webspace to people who have projects that I find interesting and/or useful.
