          I have a pc . and here i install  two OS , One is Linux and anther WinXp .
Now i want to use linux from my windows . Is there any way or have any software so that i  run Linux From my Windows using  same pc . Plz inform......................

 Actually i want to know if i don't fix any boot  password during Linux Installation then after installing what will i do i.e., Where i will fix my password . so that none can enter my Linux pc as a Single  user .

 if its server ediition check wheather you installed named rpm or not

       Firstly u tell me plz can i  make my RHEL4 linux box as DNS server using the same configuration which i used in redhat 9.0 before .

     if it is Server then what is the problem and if it is the client then what problem can arise ...plz help

            I have configured DNS Server in Redhat Linux 9.0 before and it was  working fine . But now i make a try to create DNS Server in my new Linux box RHEL4 using same configuratin . But now it does not working . It shows Error in "/var/log/messeges"  and that is,  it cannot find "/var/named/named.hosts" and "/var/named/named.rev"
files in "/etc/named.conf" directory .

        Whereas i  create two the above files (one: Forward :named.hosts   and another reverse file : named.rev) in /etc/named.conf directory .  Before this i made change in "/etc/hosts" and "/etc/resolve.conf" .
Can any one  help me what is the problem ?

        I  have a NIC card in my Linux pc . I add two IP using Aliasing if that NIC card , i mean i used "eth0" and "eth0:0" . Now i have two questions :


 1) When  i add the ip in eth0:0 , how i remove that ip

and

 2) when i strart "service network restrart " , then the ip of eth0:0 will gone . i don't  find that ip

     Can anyone plz explain why this situation is occured and how i get remove this problem .

            I  have a question and that is when we install third party software in Linux (Like yahoo messenger & other s/w) , then which directory it locates. and if i want to  uninstall that software then from where i will uninstall that 3rd party s/w ?

thx for ur reply . But when I make install Yahoo Messenger in Linux 9.0 then i get just one .exe file.... it has no Uninstall Icon with that .

If i want to update this yahoo messenger then what will i do ...i mean how can i update my messenger in Linux . Can i install MSN Messenger in Linux ?

Barring this i want to install Yahoo messenger in Linux ES but i can't find any rpm package in any website .Brothers plz help .......
