Hi, We have a webserver work for company, sometimes it get slow in response then I am supposed to restart various services on it like mysqld and httpd, since we can restart services and server starts working normal then why we need server reboot? Or can server reboot be really helpful ?

hi here it seems that its not compiling at all. try ./configure before make and make install.

Can anyone tell me which files are safe to delete in /var partition ? I want to increase space as it seems it filled up by logs.

Unfortunately I am very new to linux but have I have assigned some crictical operation on our linux server. I have to delete a directory and all its content from server from command line interface. How I do ? rm <filename> say directory not empty.
