which distro you are using ? if you are using suse you may use yum it will automaitcally install all the required dependencies

i think you just need to create acl in according to your requirement .iptable have been properly discribed in the tutorial section of this forun.

i suppose that in your sarg file the location of the log file is not defined correctly you need to check that .
the location what you are talking is the output location for the resultent file of the sarg . while to process it need the squid.log file. so for input you should defile your squid log file.

i think you should deleat and rebuild your cache.you should also increase your cache size.

the reports are automatically generated at the default out put location by default it is some where at webdirectory. check your default output location .
