Hi,
    you don't have to do anything if you have kde and Kinternet installed
   open terminal and give commands
#modprobe usbserial
#modprobe cdc-acm
#modprobe ftdi_sio
    After that connect the phone to your USB cable (don't plug it before giving commands)

Open yast and configure modem there
port- ttyACM0
init 1=ATZ
init 2=AT+CRM=1
init 3 =

and then finish.
Run Kinternet
Dial in
thats it

  i am new to linux. i am running open suse 10.0. my problem is that i am connecting a usb modem an the yast detects it, but when i try to dial with wvdial it says:

cannot open ttyACM0: no such file or directory
 i need yor help thanks.
