Hello sir,,

Regards and greetings to you.. i am a novice at linux but i settled up my installation with some mp3 players and other wine softwares in just three hours but i am stuck as how to use internet by my relaince lglsp350r usb modem phone.i even dont know that how linux initilizes modems or it detects my modem or not.plz help me as i want to use internet on my linux installations my kernel is 2.6.15-1.2054-fc5
plz help me. and sir one more thing that i am using a relaince connection and i downloaded those upnet and downnet files and also editted resolv.conf and also donw everything else but i am using a USB DATA CABLE SO WhAT ShouLD I DO IN THAT CAsE,and i tried everting on the forum but doesnt work

what should i do'

actually i tried almost everything andd it doesnt work can u tell me plz that can i run internet uing a usb cable.
or an other way out that link doesnt help  ,,,

sir getting your scripts on forum i was able to dial but after it shows that modem not responding i thought the reason was that script was for serial connection and i use usb
that dv/ttry or something

i told you i am a novice so plz understand

Here is the script from reliance.
http://www.relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/tar/rconnect-cmdline-1.0.tar

Also if its usb then use /dev/ttyUSB0 instead of /dev/ttyS0 in the script

Hello Sir,,,,
thanks for sending me the command and the linux script from rlaince and i also bought up a serial cable and now easily i can use internet from both USB and serial devices ..... It was really an expert advice of yours. thank you ...
