Help with SUSE Linux Enterprise

I recently built a computer using Intel Penitum D processor.
512 megs
160 gig harddrive
System hangs when trying to format to ext3

Please help

Actually it may be possible that you are using SATA drivers..

If this is the situation.., then just try with IDE..then it will not hang..., as SUSE doesn't recognize SATA drives...., for that u must download SATA drivers .
