Hi All,
I tried connecting to the internet using a Tata Indicom FWP, using the tios mentioned here  but couldn't get a connection. When I tried with KPPP it easily detected the modem, but when I tried to dial it said NO CARRIER. When I tried with wvdialconf, it couldn't find the modem. Can you help me here? Sad

I am using Suse Linux 8.2 and my Tata Indicom phone is LG LSP-340e

Thank you!

Hi Ricky,
Tried that too.. But it says no modem found.. I am able to browse without any issues on Windows. And KPPP also has no issues with finding the modem.

have you activated the modem yet  on fwp ? ie.. by doing following ..
To activate FWT LG LST250 for data connectivity dial '##7#0*'.

I think that is the problem !!

Has anybody tried using LG2130 with an LG2030's usb cable on redhat 9?
and what are the compatibility issues with LG2130 model and 2030's cable?

Hi, im an absolutely new Knoppix user.
I have a reliance GTRAN CDMA PCMCIA card. On boot up, knoppix detects my card. I tried to connect to the internet with KPPP. the connection IS established. However, it is VERY slow, and is of no use whatsoever.
I have tried all the different settings in KPPP( I may have missed a few settings). Is the slow connection a result of the absence of special drivers for the CDMA modem? Can it be solved by changing some settings.
                   Thank you! in advance

What I suggest you is to check that  if the connection is not conjusted .. u know reliance has got many customer and their internet is now slower than before.
