I have worked before not sure but i think this is correct:

You can make entry of Virtual host in httpd.conf with ports 80 and 443....both

Like
<Virtualhost mydomain.com:80>
</Virtualhost>

<Virtualhost mydomain.com:443>

</Virtualhost>

Thanks
Gaurav

Not sure but ,the config file should be like this :

Listen 80
Listen 443

NameVirtualHost 172.20.30.40:80
NameVirtualHost 172.20.30.40:443

<VirtualHost 172.20.30.40:80>

ServerName www.mydomain.com
DocumentRoot /www/domain-80
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 172.20.30.40:443>
ServerName www.mydomain.com
DocumentRoot /www/domain-443
</VirtualHost>

Have you tried something like above ?

Thanks
Gaurav
