Kernel 2.6.3 Upgradation and Compilation

I need to upgrade and compile my redhat linux9 kernel 2.4.20-8 to 2.6.3. Please help me in providing the procedure in doing the same and the url where i can download the documents for the same.

WOuld appreciate an immediate reply.
