hi team,
           khalid is new to linux platform and also to this forum i want to know  that how on PC while not removing XP. i want to install it on my E drive can i do this  :?: if yes then please send me the detail.

You can install, simply pop-in the installation cd of SuSe and follow instructions, when it ask for device then select you E: drive.. it should be hda3 there.

Then you will have dual boot

Not to worry, SUSE is very easy to install , its not like RED HAT LINUX, u just boot from SUSE CD AFTER THAT it will take ur free space automatically & will make the partition itself , so dont need to take tension , just follow the instuctions.......

Use YaST which is in suse first cd
 do installation using YaST. it do automatically

hi team,
           khalid is here, first i want to say  thank's for everyone who reply me. so dear i try to install SUSE, but it only run directly with the help of CD-ROM. i seen this type of OS first time have no idea how i m come able to install SUSE on my harddisk  :?:. please help friends i wait for reply.

hi khalid

Running Linux with the help CDROM without installating is called LIVE LINUX version/CD. you have some many distribution like knoppix, monkey linux etc. while installing suse choose appro option  or check the media for its only meant for running live ( it is unlikly to be). U might have choosen the wrong option
