I am using RHEL WS 4. I went to system setting and Add/Remove Packages. When i unchecked the unwanted packages and click update. I displayes a error messages that selected packages is nor installed and i know those are installed packages it displayes error to which packages i selected. What should i do to remove packages

hmm..
from command line, try following for one of the package which you think is installed but "ADD and remove " saying that it is not .

Code:
rpm -q packagename*
