fedora core 1 unable to recognize my hdd

dear people
i am a newbei.
i recently bought a computer with a 80GB hdd. i made 3 partitions of 20 GB each and left the rest without making any partition so as to be able to install linux on it.
when i put the fedora core 1 cd and started the computer it says there is no hard disk.
can anyone help?

i don't think so !
may be you partition table is corrupt.. well the most familier thing is that check from BiOS that if you HDD is configured and dectected currectly at bios level !

Do you happen to have some SATA drive or some RAID configurations ? ... normally if HDD is detected at BIOS level, then its usable anyhow...
