Ricky:
Hmm... I don't think that RH8 has any problem with MP3 ..

Can you disclose what exactly you find as problem when you try to play MP3 from xmms ?

hawk:
hey man..first of all congrats me :D i installed RH8 and now i hv dual boot :D  :D ..well  now everything is fine. but i am not able to play MP3 :( . i copied few songs from CD to a folder. but only two songs are listing in playlist of xmms. then i tried to play songs directly from CD but cudnt. i am not able to get songs in xmms playlist :( . pliz help me...thank you.

Ricky:
Xmms is like winamp in M$ windows.. that is so simple to use..

You may need to mount cd before using its file..
do it by

--- Code: ---mount /mnt/cdrom
--- End code ---

hawk:
man i tried this too and i got this:

mount: /dev/cdrom already mounted or /mnt/cdrom busy
mount: according to mtab, /dev/cdrom is already mounted on /mnt/cdrom
[/code]

i am really confused. i mean i can play two songs only. rest are not even enqueued in playlist :( . thats the actual problem.
