« on: August 14, 2004, 03:53:42 PM »
i have decided to switch from my suse linux to fc2.  i downloaded the cd's and when i tried to boot them, they started to boot to cd, but before it could it had an error:
the system memory manager (EMM386.EXE) has detected an error caused by a fault in one of the device drivers or programs installed on this system.

it lists some hex code and i am forced to reboot.

any ideas? thanks

Well man that is not linux file .. that is windows file.. extended memory manger  (not sure ) but sur that it is windows and so you are not booted from cds. I think you are having dual boot so windows is giving that error !! or may be in creation of CDs is done from windws plateform so done mistake in that!!
